Alice Peters Hance, 77, of Lexington, died Thursday, November 4, 2004 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital.
Mrs. Hance was born on November 26, 1926 in Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Joseph Peters and Elizabeth Johnson Peters.
She was a member of the Buena Vista First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Peters.
Mrs. Hance is survived by her husband, James Wilson Hance; two sons: Joseph Lewis Peters and Franklin D. Peters-Hance, all of Lexington; three sisters: Christine Wallace of Lexington, Annie Bell Grey and Louise Bartlett, both of Buena Vista; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Buena Vista First Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Tinsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
