Thomas Hileman, son of John and grandson of Jacob Hileman Sr., died 20 Nov 1890, at his residence in Jonesboro, aged 75 years, 3 months, and was buried in Jonesboro Cemetery. He was born 19 Aug 1815, in Salisbury, North Carolina. Came to Union County when 10 with his parents and settled near Mill Creek. At aged 21 he moved to Jonesboro and became a tailor. He married Nancy A. Smith on 6 Oct 1846. They had three children. He left a wife and one child, Alice (Barbara Alice) Willard, wife of E.A. Willard of Mexico, a fugitive from justice. Alice was the mother of one son and two daughters.
