In Pioneer Sketch of the Hileman Family written by Dr. S.S. Condon, Elizabeth and John are said to be buried in the old section of Saint John's Church Cemetery; their graves are unmarked. John's father Jacob Hileman 1762-1828 is said to have the earliest marker in the cemetery.
Church records support the writings of Dr. Condon, although the graves of Elizabeth and John are unmarked.
*Union County Illinois Probate Records" contain the spelling of the Eddleman lineage as ETTLEMAN
