Benjamin Mead, one of Katonah's oldest citizens, died in the house he was born in , eighty-three years ago, on Friday morning. The funeral, services were held yesterday at the house, at 11 o'clock. The Rev. V. W Benedict, pastor of the Croton Falls
Baptist Church, of which Mr. Mead had long been a member, conducted the service, and the burial was in the family plot in Union Cemetery. He leaves a widow, two sons and two daughters.
