Grace Irene Bailey was the daughter of John and Rebecca Gooden Bailey. She married James Hiram Andrews in 1910 in Waukegan, IL. Their children were: Kenneth M. Andrews, J. Frank Andrews, Paul R. Andrews, and Violet Andrews Harbaugh.

Mrs. James H. (Grace Irene Bailey) Andrews, 72, died in her Lafayette residence at 10 AM Sunday [Sept. 13, 1965], following a year of failing health. Born at Green Hill, IN, she came to Lafayette in 1911. She was married to James H. Andrews, now a retired painter, in 1911 at Waukegan, IL. Sunday was their 54th wedding anniversary.

Surviving with her husband are three sons, Kenneth M. Andrews, a Lafayette city councilman and a teacher at Jefferson High School; Paul Andrews and Frank Andrews, also of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. John [Violet]Harbaugh of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Paul Bailey of Williamsport and Lester Bailey of rural Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Floyd Wakeman of Lafayette; and 13 grandchildren.
