Son of Rose Lemke and William J. Fitzpatrick. Attended Grace Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran School. Graduated from Boy's Technical School in Automotive in Milwaukee, WI. Owned a duplex with his brother Howard and then later with his sister Ora, Milwaukee, WI. He owned a gas station and automotive repair, a Zenith station on the northeast corner of 16th and Juneau Ave. He was regarded my most as an absolute automotive genuis. At one time he owned another gas station with his brother Howard on 31st and Lincoln Ave. on Milwaukee's south side. He liked to drink!!! He hung out at Stormy's on 15th and Vliet St. In later years he lived on 31st and Vliet St. above a building known as the Carpenter's Union. He and his second wife Kay and his dog, an Afghan named Champeau, also owned a bar known as the "Err-Inn" in Saulkville, WI. He died on a Sunday about noon time from a blood clot to the brain. He had earlier in the day gone out to the Campfire bar, located down on a triangular corner of Walnut Street, came home went to bed and died. Tom was said to have been one of those people with Seven Lives, as he survived many other serious accidents previously.
