From "The Sycamore True Republican"

"He removed with his parents to Kentucky in 1815, where he resided until his twenty-fourth year, when he removed to Spencer County, Ind. Mr. Parker resided in Indiana for fourteen years. In 1854 he removed to DeKalb county and purchased a farm in Kingston township where he lived until his death which occurred Monday, May 2, 1898. On July 22, 1834 in Campbell county, Ky., Mr. Parker was united in marriage to Miss Mary A. Stillwell. Eight children were born of their union, one of whom is Mr. Joseph Edmund Parker of Sycamore."

Of the 8 children, a first Martha died young while they were in Indiana. Seven children are listed here. John Russell Parker moved to Seattle and his place of internment is unknown.

The Parker plot is at 3:00 using the center gazebo as the middle of the clock. There is one entrance at 6:00, another at 8:00 - the road of which winds around to come in at 9:00. Newer graves are at 12:00.

Of interest, the backside of the Parker stone is the Hix family. Louisa Hix is the daughter of Henry and Mary Ann.
