Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Wright, 83, of 344 West Ave., Cedartown, were held Monday, at 3 p.m. at New Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Hugh Formby officiating. Interment was in the New Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Wright died Saturday. He was born in Polk County on September 30, 1897, and resided most of his life in the county. He was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Ben F. Wright, Jr. of Austin, Texas; one stepson, Widson Carroll, of Paintsville, Ky.; one daughter, Mrs. Faye Grantham, of Marietta; three brothers, Howard Wright, of Tampa, Fla.; Walter Wright of Marietta, and Fred Wright of Hernada City, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hendrix and Ruby Wright, both of Aragon; Mrs. Georgia Randall of Rome and Mrs. Evelyn Barron of Cornelia.
Nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
