"Graham - Mrs. Mary Dixon Hinshaw, 74, Rt 1, Siler City, died at her home yesterday following a heart attack.
Mrs. Hinshaw was a native of Alamance County, daughter of the later Cicero and Sally Holt Dixon. She was the half sister of Mrs. Vernon Herring and Mrs. Eula Vaughn, both of Rt 1, Graham.
Other survivors include her husband Willie A. Hinshaw; one son Willard Hinshaw of Rt 1, Silver City; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Smith of Rt 1, Staley; one other half sister Mrs. Grover C. Bucknew of Durham; three half brothers, Carl Dixon of Carrboro, and Jottie and Henry Dixon, both of High Point.
Final rites will be held tomorrow afternoon at Plainfield Friends Church, of which she was a member. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Ora Evans and the Rev. Cleta Evans, the Rev. Hadley Robinson and the Rev. Larry McEntire. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at the residence until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service."
