JAMES OSMOND SERVICE HELD
James Duane Osmond, 68, died peacefully Sunday, Jan. 23, 1994 at his home in Ogden, Utah of cancer.
He was born March 31, 1994 in Smoot, Wyoming, son of Wesley and Vera Dray Osmond.
He was raised in Grays' Lake and Brigham City, Utah and was a graduate of Utah State University.
He married Virginia Woodbury and was later divorced. He married Hilda Thompson. They were later divorced. On Sept. 24, 1972, he married Irene Skelis in Buffalo N.Y.
Mr. Osmond worked as a rehabilitation counselor for the adult blind in Utah, Nevada and California for 32 years.
He played harmonica with the Golden Hours Haromonicans and belonged to the Ogden Association of the Blind. He also played the marimba. He enjoyed music and corresponded via audio tape to people all over the world. He enjoyed animals and particularly dogs.
His hobbies included lapidary work, reading and music.
Survivors include his wife, Irene of Ogden; two daughters, Kathleen Osmond and Kavid K. Shon of Honolulu Hawaii; Marilyn Guyman of Ogden; five grandchildren Sunita and Jasmin of Honolulu, Adam, Virginia and David of Ogden; two brothers, Rex Osmond and L.R. "Buddy" Sibbett and two sisters, Leona Valentine and Gayle Pike.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Services were held on Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Leavitt's Chapel of Flowers Mortuary in Ogden, Utah with Father Angelo Michaels officiating. Interment, Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah.
