Charlie Amos Osborn was the son of William "Bill" Osborn and Laura Jane Rankin(s). He was born July 4, 1879 in Water Valley, Graves County, Kentucky.

Charlie's siblings were Dice Cecil Osborn(e), Clarence C. Osborn, Claude Osborn, Lizzie S. Osborn, Sallie Frances Osborn, Maude Osborn and Cora Osborn (Maude and Cora may be the same person).

Charlie Amos Osborn married first, Betty Sanders (1890–1909) and they had at least three children:
Bernard Eugene "B. E." Osborn 1905–1958
son Osborn 1906–
Mattie Lee/Lene Osborn 1909–1970

Betty Sanders Osborn died March 4 or 14, 1909 leaving Charlie with a baby and small child.

Charlie then married Rebecca Ellen Hodson on 19 Dec 1909 • Lonoke, Arkansas. Rebecca raised B.E. Osborn and Mattie Osborn as her own. Rebecca and Charlie also had children of their own:
Charles Arthur "C.A." Osborn 1910–1992
Louis Edward "Ed" Osborn 1912–1983
Allamae Osborn. 1916–1928
Ethel Viola "Billie" Osborn 1919–2004
Daisy Violet Osborn 1921–2021
Ellowise C. "Bootsie" "Boots" Osborn 1924–1984
William Harry "Bud" Osborn 1928–2012

Rebecca Ellen Hodson Osborn files for divorce from Charlie Amos Osborn on 27 Oct 1945 • Lonoke, Arkansas. I have not found where the divorce was granted yet.

Charlie Amos Osborn then possibly marries Sarah Eva Lena Melton (1888–1975). Her Find A Grave memorial # is 66002324. I have not found a marriage record for them. Charlie's Alabama obituary and his death certificate in Alabama states Mrs. Lena Osborn as his wife. Charlie's Arkansas obituary does not mention Lena but states his widow, Rebecca Ellen Osborn.

Charlie Amos Osborn died Friday, 24 January 1958 at E.C.M. Hospital in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama.

Funeral services were conducted on 28 November 1958 at 2 pm at Bailey Funeral Chapel with burial in Grissard Cemetery, El Paso, White County, Arkansas next to his 2nd wife, Rebecca Ellen Hodson Osborn.
