Actress. Married for a short time to Actor John Gilbert, Joy played opposite comics Billy West and Oliver Hardy. Appeared in over 60 films, often playing career girls dressed in mannish suits, or sophisticated society girls. Joy is well remembered as 'Joan Ainsworth' in "Made For Love" as 'Mary Leigh' in "Ten Commandments," in "Hollywood," (1923) and as 'Edith McBride' in "You Can't Fool Your Wife." Joy retired shortly after the advent of sound, but made occasional appearances in small supporting roles over the years.
