oy Thomas Cox Sr., 83, of 1101 Poplar St died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Jan. 18, 1906, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Charles and Cordelia Webb Cox, He was a retired farmer and a member of Mount Freeman Baptist Church, Junction City. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Tucker Cox; four daughters, Mrs. Casey (La-verne) Clisz of Parksville, Mrs. Daryl (Linda) Lewis of Danville, Mrs. Henry (Carol) Dai-ley of Elizabethtown and Mrs. James (Imogene) Russell of RochesterMich.; a son, Roy T. Cox Jr. of Danville; a brother, Elmer Cox of Indianapolis; three sisters, Hazel Cox of Junction City, Izora Devine of Kissimmee, Fla., and Beatrice Griffith of Greenup; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Cox. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Freeman ' Baptist Church by the Revs. Carmel Hoskins and Odis Clark. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Larry Cox, Robin Cox, James Smith, Richard Clark, Scott Lewis and Brent Tymensky. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Hogue, David Edwards, Leo Sinkhorn, Daryl Lewis, Sam Phillips, Chester Shep-person, Gene Steinberger, Arvis Young, Howard Bodner, Teddy Walker and Glen Cad-dell. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home, Danville, and after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Mount Freeman Baptist Church building fund.

Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. He died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Active pallbearers will be Larry Cox, Robin Cox, James Smith, Richard Clark, Scott Lewis and Brent Tymensky. Honorary pallbearers will be 1 members of the Senior Adult Sunday school class at Mount Freeman, deacons of Mount Freeman, and Jesse Hogue, David Edwards and Leo Sinkhorn. The name of a daughter, Mrs. Casey (Laverne) Klisz, was misspelled in Friday paper.
