Judge Massey Dead.

Judge Henderson Massey died at his home near Peggy last Sunday morning at the age of near 60 years. The cause of his death was an attack of pnuemonia. He was buried Monday at the family cemetery, the Masonic Lodge of Winona conducting the the ceremony, prayer by Rev. Munsell. The Van Buren Masonic Lodge was unable to attend.

Judge Massey was one of the best known and most highly respected men in the county. He was for 4 years President of the county court of this county and at the time of his death was a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the M. E. Church.

Obituary.
Judge Massey. (A generalized obituary was written by D. E. Barrett. Apparently, Judge Henderson Massie was conscious during his last days, knew he was dying and was an inspiration to his family and friends. He had become a Christian many years before and was an active member of his church. It seemed to indicate his wife and at least some of his children survived him. He was a highly respected citizen of the country.
