Obituary Gonzales Inquirer July 12, 1990


Funeral services for Mildred Hood Arnic, who died on Monday, were held on Thursday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Richardson and the Rev. C. A. Roaches officiated and interment was in the City cemetery under the direction of Crenshaw Funeral Home in Seguin.

Mrs. Arnic was born on July13, 1937, to Marvin and Rula Mae Hood Arnic in Gonzales County. She attended the local schools, graduating from Edwards High School in 1957.

She went to work at Warm Springs Hospital in 1960 in food services and her most recent position was dietician. She served 10 years after receiving dietary certification.

She was a member of Mount Pilgrim Church, having been a member of the choir and worked with various departments there, direct the church kitchen and being instrumental in the refurbishing of it, purchasing new utensils and coordinating special meals. She was also an advisor for the Women's Mission Auxiliary and had served in past years as church and financial secretary.
