"Services Today For Enterprise Pioneer - Body of Myron Dunham Will be Laid at Rest in Woodlawn This Afternoon - The body of Myron Dunham, pioneer resident of Enterprise, is expected to arrive in Titusville this (Wednesday) forenoon at 10 o'clock, and will be taken to the undertaking parlors of W J Arnold, Diamond street, where funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm, by Rev Earl B Williams, pastor of the First Baptist church, following which interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery. Mr Dunham passed away suddenly while sitting in his chair at the home of his daughter, Mrs T P Carver, in Charlottesville, Va, on Monday. He would have been 88 years of age next Saturday. Mr Dunham was born at a settlement known as Allegheny, between Pleasantville and Neilltown, on October 4, 1842. Practically all of his life was spent in Enterprise where he was a general merchant for many years. He served as postmaster at Enterprise for forty years, and in the early nineties served as one of the commissioners of Warren county. It was during his term as county commissioner that the present court house was erected. As a young man, Mr Dunham was associated with Henry Rouse, pioneer oil man, who was burned to death at Rouseville and the bulk of whose estate was bequeathed to the poor of Warren county. Later for a number of years he was employed by David H Mitchell of Titusville, one of the early mayors and private banker of this city. Following the death of Mrs Dunham twelve years ago, Mr Dunham spent his time with his children, but always returned every summer to the old home at Enterprise. He spent several weeks there the past summer and seemed to be in very good health for one of his advanced age. Besides the daughter at whose home he passed away, Mr Dunham leaves one son, M M Dunham, formerly of Warren but now of Passaic, NJ, and three grand children."
