FALL BRANCH - Sylvia A. Malone, 86, of Chuckey, died Friday at Life Care Center of Greeneville following an extended illness.
Mrs. Malone was a member of Pilot Knob Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband: Harmon Malone of Chuckey; two daughters: Arnell Mitchell and her husband, James J., of Jonesborough, and Pat Martin and her husband, Steve, of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Kelly Mitchell, Brian Mitchell and his wife Heather, and Kimberly Collier and her husband, Brad; three great-grandchildren: Dakota Mitchell, Madison Martin, and Gracie Mitchell; a sister: Dell Fair of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Hal Malone; her parents: George and Nannie Barlow; a sister: Reda Childress; and five brothers: Blanchard Barlow, Lunes Barlow, William Barlow, Homer Barlow, and an infant.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes in Fall Branch.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Richard Bowers will officiate.
Burial will follow in Logan's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Family members and friends will be pallbearers.
