Ben Tillman "B.T." Darnell, 83, of Denmark, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012.
Funeral service were held at at Ghents Branch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bert Petty officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Ben was the son of the late Ben and Annie Darnell. He was a member of Ghents Branch Baptist Church. He was retired from the city of Denmark.
He is survived by his wife, Clara S. Darnell; three daughters, Clara Mae Darnell of Hilda, Roberta (Harry) Gillam of Ehrhardt and Brenda Darnell of Denmark; a brother, John Darnell of Barnwell; three grandchildren, Lisa (Quinton) McCaw of Aiken, Kristen (Mark) Dyches of Blackville and Allan Gillam of Ehrhardt; and four great-grandchildren, Sydney Glover, Brooklyn Glover, Colby McCaw and Blakely McCaw, all of Aiken.
He was predeceased by Dorothy Sellers and Joe Darnell.
