Mary, widow of Edward Crosson, who were among the early settlers of Grout township, died Oct. 26 at the home of her son Pat in Saginaw, aged 79 years, 5 months and 4 days. Mrs. Crosson was born at Goodrich, Ont., May 22, 1842, and was married to Edward Crosson at that place in 1862. To this union four sons and two daughters were born, of whom two sons and two daughters survive as follows: Patrick of Saginaw, Matthew of Flint, Mrs. Anna Duprey of Mt. Clemens and Mrs. Will Stock of Gladwin, all of whom were in attendance at the funeral.
Mr. and Mrs. Crosson came to Saginaw, Mich., in 1865, and lived there until 1885 when they moved to Grout township, Gladwin county, where they lived many years. Mr. Crosson died 15 years ago in Gladwin.
The body of Mrs. Crosson was brought to Gladwin where funeral services were held at Sacred Heart church, conducted by Rev. Fr. Van Colen, Friday at 9 o'clock a.m., with interment in Highland cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 11-3/1921 Column – 2 Page – 4
