Miss Johanna Zimmer, 85, died Tuesday at the home of H. B. Azadian, 130 West Colvin Street, at whose home she had been living for several years. A native of Germany, she came to this country when she was 12 years old.
Miss Zimmer became a missionary, going to Constantinople where she served for 10 years. Returning to the United States, she enrolled at Syracuse University where she was graduated with a bachelors degree in languages.
She taught to several universities among them Roanoke University, Va.; Rockford University, Ill.; Hood College Frederick Md.; and Bishop Thayer College, Bethlehem Pa.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Cornell, Clement and Greenleaf, inc. funeral home and at 2:30 o'clock at the Christian Apostolic Church, 1327 West Colvin Street. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
