Mr. Armstrong died Sunday in a hospital in Raleigh after a long illness.
He was a native of South Carolina and was formerly employed in Asheboro with the Zoo.
Survivors are three sons, Ronnie and Jimmy Armstrong of Bedford Va., Henry Armstrong Jr. of Robbins, four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Andrews of Asheboro, Mrs. Bernice Hinson of Patrick, S.C., Mrs. Doris Boatwright of Ruby, S.C, Mrs. Girlene Jenkins of Dallas, Tx.; five brothers Simpson and Dan Armstrong of Rock Hill, S.C., Elihu and Frank Armstrong of Chester, S.C., Kell Armstrong of Great Falls, S.C, two sisters Mrs. Mamie Morrison of Lancaster, S.C., Mrs. Mattie Clark of Chester, S.C., two half brothers, Jeff Armstrong of Jefferson Ga., Brice Armstrong of Atlanta, Ga., and 21 grandchildren.
