Phoebe Amanda (Thatcher) Reynolds was the daughter of Rev. William Greenleaf and Martha (Oakley) Thatcher. She was the wife of William Winans Reynolds. They were married New Haven, Connecticut September 10, 1833. William died April 27, 1873.

REYNOLDS.--Died at Poughkeepsie, New York, February 16, 1891, Mrs. Phoebe Amanda Reynolds (relict of the late William W. Reynolds), in her 80th year. She was the daughter of Rev. William thatcher, for many years an honored member of New York Conference. stationed in Poughkeepsie 1831-1832. For near sixty years Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Washington Street Methodist Episcopal Church, Poughkeepsie, exerting a blessed religious influence over her household and in the church. Noted for her simplicity, godly sincerity, almost unbounded charity, she walked with God. For years her afflictions prevented her from attending God's house, but God was in her home. She was thorough in her conviction that at last God would give an "abundant entrance."
