Daughter of the late Arlin Gadberry and Ada Robertson Gadberry, she was born on Dec. 4, 1934 in Russell County, Ky. and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. Read w [sic] and Eastern Star, Hiram Chapter #93 and was a Kentucky Colonel.
She was married to Archie Read on Aug. 14, 1971. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1998.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters, George Russell of Lexington, Richard Russell and Patti Reynolds of Campbellsville, and Lana Kessler of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry Gadberry of Campbellsville.
One brother and one sister, J.D. Gadberry and Judi Gadberry Clark also preceded her in death. Funeral was at 2 p.m. on Saturday May 24 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial in Brookside Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Durham officiated. Pallbearers were George Freeman, Kyle Freeman, Bobby Gilpin, Timmy Read, H.P. Rexroat Jr., Brian Riddle, Charlie Riddle and Mike Stein.
