She was born June 20, 1940 in Saul, Kentucky to Della Rice Morris and Hiram Morris. She married James R. Begley on October 22, 1957 in Underwood, Indiana. Being an Air Force family, they lived in Illinois, Florida, Germany, California and first came to Big Spring in 1959 to Webb Air Force Base. They returned to Big Spring in 1978 when her husband retired. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, James Begley of Big Spring and two daughters: Rebecca Eckert and her husband Fred of Lomax, Sheila Ward and husband Billy of Big Spring and a son-in-law Billy Hardin of Lovington; 10 grandchildren: Megan Best, Ryan Ward, Allison Ward, Derek Ward, Melanie Horton, Wade Eckert, Rachel Eckert, Kyle Eckert, Jared Struamann and Justin Straumann; eight great grandchildren: Makenna Ward, Makenzi Ward, Emmalynn Best, Braxton Ward, Bradyn Straumann, Evelyn Straumann, Emma Straumann and Annabella Sage; and one brother Granville Morris and wife Lily of Austin, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Brenda Hardin on April 5, 2012 and eight brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Wade Eckert, Kyle Eckert, Ryan Ward, Rodger Horton, Derek Ward and Jared Straumann. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Best and Justin Straumann.
