Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 23rd at Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2019 S. Friendfield Road, Scranton, SC.
Mr. Yarborough was born on February 19, 1941, in Florence County, a son of the late OC Yarborough and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Williams Yarborough. He was a shop technician with C. B. Askins Construction Company and Price-Aquatic Pools and later retired from Yarborough Development, Inc. Mr. Yarborough was a member of Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, and loved fishing and going to the beach.
Surviving include his wife, Annie Ruth E. Yarborough of the home in Scranton; a son, Mark Lynn Yarborough of Scranton; grandson, Michael Jay (Leah) Yarborough, Jr., of McKeesport, PA; granddaughter, Devyn Elizabeth Yarborough of Charleston; great-granddaughter, Mya Nichole Yarborough of McKeesport, PA; sisters, Olive Yarborough Kohler of Jacksonville, FLA, and Janet Yarborough (Lawrence, Jr.) Smith of Cassatt; brother, "Ocie" Jack (Sherry) Yarborough of McKeesport, PA; a loving pet, "Zoie"; and many nieces and nephews in SC, PA, and TX. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael "Jay" Yarborough, Sr.; and two sisters, Donna Mae Y. Parker and Joyce Y. Gray.
