Dorothy Marie Linaweaver, 78, died Dec. 10, 1990 at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Overland Park. she was a lifelong Leavenworth resident.
Services will be at 2 p.m. thursday at the Belden Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Ray Gilstrap officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, where friends may call after noon on Wednesday.
Mrs Linaweaver was born Jan 29, 1912, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Anna Marie Butzin Tuttle and Raymond Andrew Tuttle. She married Glenn L. Linaweaver Sr. Oct. 3, 1936 in Parkville, Mo. He died Oct. 7, 1990.
She was also preced in death by an infant son, Claude Andrew in 1938, and a brother, Raymond Tuttle, in 1985.
Mrs. Linaweaver had been a saleswoman for Stanley Home Products until 1948, when she became a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Aerie No. 55, the Builders Sewing club, the Lansing Community Club, the Lansing First Baptist Church and the American Coon Hunters Association.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn L. Linaweaver Jr., Lansing, and Jerry B. Linaweaver, Leavenworth County; a daughter, Karen Sue Rush, Leavenworth County; and a sister, M. Leona Etherton, Concord, Calif; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
