Opal Evelyn Stone Mills was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Ogden, Utah, to Jay Gould Stone and Florence Priscilla Middleton Stone.
She passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2000, in Boise. She was married Oct. 13, 1942, in the Mesa, Arizona, LDS Temple to Seaman Samuel Mills. Their marriage spanned 57 years of caring, sharing, and trusting. Opal was a kind and loving person whose influence was felt far beyond her family.
Her husband regarded her as a loyal, honorable, and virtuous woman. Opal is survived by her husband, Seaman Mills; her brother, Lowell M. Stone; her sister, Grace Stone Sears; a son and daughter-in-law, David J. and Judie Mills; her daughter, Diana Mills Loomis; four grandchildren, Camy Mills Cox, Peter Mills, Brian Lincoln, and Jioia Loomis; great-grandchildren, Draven Loomis, and Gabrial Loomis. She will be greatly missed.
Friends may call at the Relyea Funeral Chapel on Thursday afternoon from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday March 24 at the Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah. Burial will follow at Morris Hill Cemetery. (Idaho Statesman; Wednesday, March 22, 2000; p 7B)
