Obituary - Mrs. Jennie Newhouse, the wife of Joseph Newhouse, died on Wednesday afternoon at her home on Atlantic Avenue.
Mrs. Newhouse was born in Holland 61 years ago but came to this country in 1903. Shortly after her arrival, she was married and she and her husband made their home at Garfield, N.J., for several years, coming to West Sayville 33 years ago.
Although she had been in poor health for several months, Mrs. Newhouse was up and around the house until the day of her death.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church, the Ladies' Aid and a charter member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the West Sayville Fire Department, and had been active always in church affairs.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Herbert and Abram, and a granddaughter, Jeanet, all of West Sayville.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon from the Newhouse home, and at 3:00 o'clock at the First Reformed Church. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
