Band Leader, Musician, Composer, Arranger. The most successful of all Swedish band leaders during the 1940s and 1950s. He went to the Stockholm Music Conservatory 1931-1935 and then joined different bands playing the trumpet, until he formed his own band in 1938. During the swing era he made huge success with his big band, and subsequently he became tied to the Swedish Radio´s Dance Orchestra. He made more than 1,000 recordings, as a band leader or solo trumpeter, and also composed music to several films. His last record was released in 1972.
