Frances Agee Lewis, 81, of Midway Park, N.C. died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the home of her son. Formerly of New Bern, N.C., Frances worked for many years as an operator for Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Company. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles L. Lewis, her parents, Floyd and Kitty Agee and her siblings, Ora Guthrie, Roy Agee, Roscoe Agee, Andrew Agee, Zora Adams and Ruie Poff. Funeral will be noon Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Coastal Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, N.C.,where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
She is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" Lewis Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Vanceboro, N.C.; two grandchildren, Mitch Lewis and Tyler Lewis, both of Vanceboro, N.C.; three sisters, Ruby Dyer, of Salem, Doris Hawley of Roanoke, and Madeline Bonham, of Midway Park, N.C.; and one brother, Floyd Agee Jr., of Bent Mountain.
