Brenda was born in Waco, Texas, to Joe and Nellie Lobelia (Brown) Fulton. She grew up on a farm between Irene and Bynum and had lived in Hill County most of her life. A 1963 graduate of Bynum High School, she also graduated from Hill Junior College in 1965. That same year she married Bobby Stephens. For many years, she worked as a seamstress for Malouf's and other manufacturers. Most recently, she had been a loan officer at First Finance in Corsicana for the past nine years. She was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Brenda loved spending her spare time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her father; and a grandson, Dondrell Williams.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Green, and Sherri Green and husband, Tim, all of Hillsboro; former husband, Bobby Stephens, of Mertens; grandchildren, Sandra Batson and Marcus Williams, Nikki Green, Arianna Phillips, Dexter Green, Dusty Green, and Talana Green all of Hillsboro; two great-grandchildren, Dauntae Batson and Tra-vion Ephraim both of Hillsboro; mother, Lobelia Humphrey, of Hillsboro; brother, Joe Humphrey and wife, Barbara, of Palm Coast, FL; uncle, William Brown and wife, Lorie, of Irene; other family members, and many friends.
