Frank Stevens served in Co. I., 12th Reg. Pennsylvania Reserves. Following the war, he married Annie Adelaide Bush on July 16, 1867 in Huntingdon County. He established a hardware store in Three Springs, PA. After Annie, the mother of his children, died he married Annie M. Hiney on Dec 11, 1883. She had consumption and in 1885 he moved the family to California. They briefly lived in Los Angeles and then moved permanently to Pasadena in 1886. He once again had a hardware store. Stevens Hardware was located on Colorado Street. After his second wife died, he married Dora Meldon Bucher on October 11, 1887. He and his family were members of the First Methodist Church in Pasadena.
Served in Union Army in the Civil War as 1st Lieutenant in Co. I, 41st Pennsylvania Infantry.
Enlisted as private on March 17, 1862. Transferred to Co. D, 190th Pennsylvania Infantry On June 1, 1864. Taken POW at Gaines Mill on June 27, 1862. WIA Dec. 13, 1862 at Fredericksburg, Virginia. Taken POW June 16, 1864 at Malvern Hill, Virginia. Promoted to 1st Sgt. April 14, 1862; 2nd Lieutenant April 24, 1864; 1st Lieutenant June 6, 1864 (Not mus.)
