Dorothy was a kind woman who loved children. She taught swimming lessons for many years and was an avid lover of the Austrailian culture. Having been born in Austrailia, she loved the physical attractions of the Austrailian outback. She attended Utopia United Methodist Church for many years where she participated in the Methodist Women's Group. Along with her husband, Wayne, she moved to Uvalde, Texas and lived there until her death. Her ashes were buried in Utopia on her son's grave.
