Bethana married 22 January 1855 Joseph Norman Pendleton [Houston Co. VR, Marr., Bk. 1854-1858, p. 25]. Their wedding was performed by John W. SMITH, Justice, and was witnessed by Barton ANDREWS and Charles BROWN.

Bethana was born at West Greenwich, Rhode Island 15 May 1829 to Jonathan ANDREWS and Roby SWEET (1802-1869); died in Tennessee 26 October 1900; buried at Crossville Cemetery next to her husband [Brian Pendleton and His Descendants; p. 305; Cumberland County Cemetery Records, p. 31]. Her mother, Roby M., died 10 August 1869 and was buried at Crossville, Cumberland Co., Tennessee [Cumberland County Cemetery Records, p. 31]. Her brother, Burton S. ANDREWS, born 12 May 1827; died at the house of his son, C.B. ANDREWS at Grassy Cove, Cumberland Co., Tennessee 9 April 1908, was also buried there [Cumberland County Cemetery Records, p. 56; Crossville Chronicle, 15 Apr. 1908].

On 29 March 1855 Joseph sold 10 acres of land at Caledonia, Minnesota, to Henry DUNBAR [Houston Co. Deeds]. On 25 July 1855, Joseph and Bethana sold 80 acres of farmland at Caledonia to John DUNBAR (either his uncle or cousin) [Houston Co. Deeds]. Joseph was enumerated with his wife and family at Caledonia, Minnesota from 1860 to 1865 [1860 U.S. Census, p. 5; 1865 Minnesota State Census, entry 83, microfilm].

This family removed from Caledonia, Minnesota to Crossville, Cumberland Co., Tennessee in 1869 with Bethana's brothers, Charles and Burton S. ANDREWS, where by 1870 Joseph was a farmer [1870 U.S. Census, Tennessee, Cumberland Co., Crossville, entry 65/67, microfilm]; they remained there as of 1900, when Joseph was a Justice of the Peace (for 25 years) and a farmer [1900 U.S. Census; His Obituary]. Joseph was for some twenty years a County Judge of Cumberland County [Brian Pendleton and His Descendants; p. 305] and was chairman of the County Court in February 1878 [Crossville Newspapers, p. 1].

Four of their five children were living in 1900 [1900 U.S. Census, Crossville, 5th Civil District, 13 June 1900, entry 177/179, microfilm]. In 1903 J.N. owned 11 acres of land on the Sparta Road, at Crossville, Cumberland Co., Tennessee [Crossville Chronicle, 20 May 1903].
