From The Indianapolis Star, June 9, 2004, pB6. Edna Mae Beck Brewer 90, of Indianapolis passed away on June 8, 2004. Born on August 1, 1913 in Masontown, PA, the daughter of Reuben W. and Matilda (Haught) Hague. She was a telephone operator with the IU Medical Center retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Warren Hills Christian Church where she was a deacon, Daughters of the American Revolution, Lady of Aberdeen, Riley Guild and she volunteer for the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Home. She is preceded in death by her husbands Clarence Leroy Beck and Harry Russel Brewer. She is survived by her son: Charles William Brewer, grandchildren Debra Mae Dilley Gordon, Tracy Dilley, Michael Dilley, Melissa Kay Cuka, Hollie Jean Brewer, sister: Bonnie Hague Bishara and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Janet Evelyn Dilley Metcalf. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at the Feeney - Hornack Shadeland Mortuary. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Calling will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Feeney - Hornack Shadeland Mortuary.
Edna was my wife's Aunt and she was a good and fine lady.
