~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The spelling of his first name looks confusing. The death certificate shows Wilard as does the obituary. Most research shows Willard. The cemetery records show his first name as Williard. The one that should be the correct spelling is on his WWII registration and it is spelled Willard. He signed his name as Willard.
