He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his parents, Guy and Bootsie Abadie; a daughter, Rachel Abadie; a son, Joshua Abadie; a brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Jayne Abadie; a niece, Michelle Abadie; a nephew, Russell Abadie Jr.; a great-niece, Arlie Abadie; special friend, Jimmy McClure; special aunt, Dot Strader; aunts and uncles, Jack and Betty Abadie, Bill Abadie, Buddy and Ruth Abadie, Jean and Bill Carmack, June Munster and Carole Abadie; and many cousins.
Steve loved all of his family, they were very important to him. He loved working with computers, and sharing that with other people. He had a special place in his heart for miniature salt and pepper schnauzers, especially Mozart. But his true love was camping, it helped him to feel close to God. He would grab a tent, leave for a camp ground where he could canoe and be at peace.
