Mrs. Minnie Brem, 98, one of the oldest residents of Burlington, if not the oldest, died at her home, 1116 Chalfant street late Friday.
A native of Germany, she was born in Baden, Aug. 9, 1845. She had resided here more than 70 years. She and Jacob Brem were wed in Germany in 1868. She was a member of St. John Catholic church.
Surviving are four sons, Joseph and Charles of Burlington and Jacob and Andrew of California; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Her husband, two daughters and a son preceded her in death.
Services will be held from St. John church at 9 a.m. Monday following brief rites at Giles funeral home at 8:30. Interment will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.
