"Mrs. L. O. Erickson, a resident of Shell Lake for over 40 years, and familiarly known to old Shell Lakers as Grandma Fix, died at Menomonie Saturday, Dec. 11th, at the age of 93. Death was caused by pneumonia.
"Deceased was born in Sweden 1833. She came to America 45 years ago and settled in St. Paul, Minn., moving to Shell Lake four years later.
"She was united in marriage to Ole Erickson to which union were born two children, Anna and Eric, who both, along with her husband preceded her to the Great Beyond. She leaves to mourn her loss three grandsons, August Fix of Minneapolis, Andrew Fix of International Falls, Minn., Emil Fix of Klamath Falls, Oregon. There were also eight great grandchildren surviving.
"The remains were shipped here from Menomonie Tuesday, and funeral services [took place] from the Cameron Undertaking Parlors Thursday afternoon, Rev. C. Paul Nulton, M. E. Pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery north of town."
There is no gravestone.
