Edith Reams Ancarrow, 82, a life long residence of Hanover Courthouse and a widow of Woodrow Wilson Ancarrow, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Carolyn A. and Bill Tatum, Shirley M. and Johnny Hayes; three grandchildren, Chris (Chip) Tatum, Sharon Tatum Slate, Tracey (Dee) Blankenship; four great-grandchildren; three nieces, Doris Taylor, Iva Peachy and Lois Dunn; a life long sister-in-law, Ruth Ancarrow. Mrs. Ancarrow was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Hanover Courthouse where she was also a member of St. Ann's Guild and the Hanover Women's Club. She was retired from Suntrust Bank with over 35 years of service to the Hanover Community. Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9261 Shady Grove Rd., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. Interment St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Hanover. Published in Richmond Times-Dispatch from May 14 to May 15, 2003.
