April 15, 1921 - April 24, 2012
Boots was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri to Mr. and Mrs. George Young. She was the youngest of nine siblings. Her name was Beulah, but everyone called her Boots because she liked to wear her dad's big work boots around.
When she was 18 years old she moved to Washington state where she met Herb Furman. They were married on December 13th, 1943. Together they had three children; Herbie, Debra and Dennis Furman. They raised their kids in Toppenish, Washington, where Beulah worked hard as a cook, waitress and a mother. In 1973, they packed up and moved to Nampa, Idaho where they lived out the rest of their lives.
Boots loved quilting, crocheting, gardening and being social. Many mornings you could find her with friends drinking coffee at 'the cozy kitchen' or other diners in Nampa, or walking the corridors of the Karcher Mall. She was one of the most hospitable people you could ever meet.
She loved to cook and would often put together a five course meal for any company that would show up. One thing was for sure, you never left her home hungry. Boots was a caregiver and she enjoyed taking care of those she loved. She was a Christ loving, dog loving, people loving, selfless woman who had a great influence on those around her.
She is survived by Debra Furman, Dennis and Alicia Furman, Ethan Noonan, Jo Hay, Leon Almendarez, Monique Furman, Sarah Furman, and Chandelle Binette, and their families, including 18 great-grandchildren, and her last living sibling, Clara Parks.
She is predeceased by her husband, Herb, her son, Herbie, as well as her parents and seven siblings.
There will be a memorial party for her on Sunday, April 29th, 2012 at the home of Dennis and Alicia Furman.
