Mrs. Carroll died at 10:26 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, in a Rosepine care facility. She was a native and longtime resident of Pitkin. She was a retired nurse's aide and a member of Simmons Mill Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include three sons, Herb Carroll, Russell Carroll and Offie Ray Carroll, all of Pitkin; two daughters, Marjorie Tuckett of Pitkin and Willie Mae Kemp of DeRidder; one brother, Ray Hill of Pitkin; three sisters, Lottie Gary of Shreveport and Irene Martin and Eva Lou Ingalls, both of Pitkin; 19 grand-children; 40 great-grandchildren; and 26
great-great-grandchildren.
