B.W. Gorman Dies Monday
Bernard Wallace Gorman passed away Monday, Feb. 23 at his home in Kenmare. Mr. Gorman had been in ill health the last two years.
Mr. Gorman was born Aug. 20, 1893, at Moorhead, Minn. He came to this area 59 years ago, and engaged in farming in Renville county. For many years the family has resided in Kenmare.
March 7, 1916, he was married in Kenmare to Lena Meyer. Mrs. Gorman survives as do four sons and three daughters. The children are Wallace W., Kenmare; John, Los Angeles, Calif.; Henry, Glendive, Mont.; Orlan, Hopkins, Minn.; Mrs. Marcella Cordes, Minneapolis; Kathryn Gorman, Los Angeles; Mrs. Mary Lou Mahnke, Minot. Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Norman Johnson, Kenmare; two brothers, Roy and Millner, Minneapolis; five sisters, Mrs. Mildred Smith, Salem, Oregon; Mrs. Luella Schumacher, Reynolds; Mrs. Mary Von Ruden, Mayville; Mrs. Hazel Nei, Kenmare; Mrs. Lena Colbert, Gresham, Ore., and ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Lewis Gorman and a brother, John.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Agnes Catholic church. Rev. Fr. D. J. Becwar will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Hoffman, Al Huber, Ray Murray, Nick Bendel, F. A. Huber and Herman Sjoquist. Interment will be in St. Agnes cemetery with Ringen service in charge of arrangements.
