Harlan Bunger, 52, of Eldora died of cancer Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eldora, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens there.

Mr. Bunger had lived in Eldora all his life. He was a vocational instructor with Eldora State Training School and had served in the Army National Guard, He was a member of Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; a daughter, Rebecca Gall of Union; two sons, Jon Curtis of Ames and Dennis of Nederland, Texas; his mother, Esther Bunger Getting of Lake City, Minn.; a brother, Allan of Marshalltown; a sister, Karla Bunger of Newport Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora is handling arrangements.
