cLeod, Harold – age 87 of Knoxville passed away Saturday May 12, 2012. He was a member of Central Baptist Church Bearden. After serving his country in the US Navy during WWII, Harold graduated from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He worked in Birmingham for several years before getting his law degree from Birmingham School of Law. Harold retired from Vulcan materials after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Edna McLeod; sister, Louise Pennington; and brothers, Rogers, Innis, Raymond, and Byron McLeod. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Patricia Hubbard McLeod; son, H. Gray McLeod, Jr. of Nashville, TN; daughter, Lyn (James) Jewell of Wilksboro, NC; granddaughters, Collin, Ansley, and Margaret Jewell of Wilksboro, NC; sisters, Dorothy (J.W.) Bell of Memphis, TN; Margaret Rhodes of Tuscaloosa, AL; brothers, Wiley (Elizabeth) McLeod of Tuscaloosa, AL, Norman (Jackie) McLeod of Beaumont, TX, and Thomas (Dean) McLeod of Birmingham, AL; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:00 pm Wednesday May 16, at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel followed by a 2 pm Celebration of Life service with Rev. Mark Moreland officiating. Interment at Edgewood Cemetery immediately following the service with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice.
