Elizabeth M. Pierce is the daughter of James H. Pierce (1760-1825) and Martha (1765-1854). She is the wife of James R. Russell (1790-1835) and the mother of the famous William Greenberry Russell (1820-1877), a Georgia miner who helped discover gold in Colorado in 1859 and who served as a Captain of a Georgia Cavalry Company during the War Between the States. She married James R Russell (1790-1835)December 1818 at Edgefield Co, SC. Their children are:
