Mrs. Maggie Barber Rodgers, 89, died Monday at Greater Southeast Community Hospital, Washington, D.C., after an extended illness.She was a Screven County native but had lived in Statesboro for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Stevens Temple Holiness Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pannie Mae Wilcox, Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Ida Newkirt, Twin City; a son, David Robinson, Miami; 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Stevens Temple Holiness Church with Elder Paul Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. Payton's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
