Mr. Herbert Hash, Elkhorn Community in Taylor County, Campbellsville, Route 1, son of Mrs. Emma Nelson Hash and the late Mr. Arthur Hash, was born in Taylor County, January 26, 1910. He died at his home, Wednesday, December 20th at 3:30 p.m., after a long illness. He was 57. He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where he served as Trustee and a Deacon for some twenty years. He was also an employee of the Taylor County Fiscal Court for some fourteen years. Mr. Hash married Lila Pickerell, October 27, 1930. Besides his wife, he leaves a foster daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Tungate, of Route 1, Campbellsville; his mother, Mrs. Emma Hash, a patient at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville; one sister and six brothers, Mrs. Marvin Thompson of Campbellsville; Jim Hash and Floyd Hash both of Campbellsville; Hershel and Walter Hash both of Route 4, Campbellsville; Clarence Hash of Louisville; and Thomas Hash of Indianapolis, Ind. Funeral services were held Friday, December 22nd in the Bethel Baptist Church in Larue County with the Revs. Charlie Warren and Arnold Moon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald and Bud Dudgeon, Robert Farmer, Coy Morris, Fredrick Thompson and Woodrow Grimes. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
