Mrs. James whose maiden name was Miss Rachel Sell, was born November 8, 1885 in Concord and was a daughter of the late John and Catherine Usinger Sell, pioneer residents of this community. She was married November 14, 1892 to Justus James, for several years they resided in Cleveland, where Mr. James died in 1912. Mrs. James and family later moving to Milwaukee which has since been their home.
She is survived by six sons and one daughter, Jesse, Earl, Harry, George, Claude, and Bernie James and Mrs. Cora Pfeffer of Milwaukee. She also leaves three brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Pelzman and John Sell of Milwaukee: Edward Sell, Mrs. Margaret (William) Pennow, and Mrs Melvina Schroeder of Oconomowoc:, Jacob Sell of Sullivan amd Mrs. Susie (Charles) Sanders of Syracuse, New York.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sell, West Ave. and burial in LaBelle Cemetery.
