She was converted in her teen age and united with the Methodist Church and was a faithful Christian the rest of her earthly pilgrimage until she went home to be with God.
She was united in marriage to the Rev. W.T. Lantz March 15, 1899, and for more than 35 years their lives were spent together in the ministry. Mrs. Lantz was greatly beloved wherever they served the people, and had endeared herself to a host of folks since moving to Elizabeth last September.
To this union were born the following children: Herman P. Lantz, Herbert Carl Lantz, Hattie Beatrice Arthur, Blanche Flowers, Hetty Lucille Bays, Olive Edith Smith, Virginia Ione Lohr and William George Lantz, and 15 grandchildren; also two sisters, Elizabeth Cross and Mattie Beatty, and two half-brothers, Howard and Frank Allen.
Mrs. Lantz died very suddenly of a heart attack in Elizabeth, where they were assigned last September, as pastor and pastor's wife of the Methodist Church.
Funeral rites were conducted from the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6, in charge of the Rev. G.W. Twynham of McMechen, W.Va. Burial was in the K. of P. Cemetery.
